God is protective of you

He saves you from things you didn’t even know you needed saving from.

The Lord is protective of you, watching out for you and prepared to block things from happening or from arriving too early. He does this from his high place where he sees everything that is going on and how it all fits together. 

So when the advancement didn’t happen or the plan didn’t work out as neat and beautiful as you thought a God work would, you can know that perhaps God stepped in and was protecting you from something you were completely unaware of. 

That job you missed might have been filled with unrealistic expectations or in a place about to go under. The connection you thought was good might have been fraught with danger. 

God is so loving and protective that he responds to our prayer for help by stepping in and protecting even when we then ignorantly blame him for preventing something we thought was good for us. 

You can trust the Lord - trust he knows more than you do and cares so deeply that he is your protector, saving you from things you didn’t know you needed saving from. Bless the Lord, my protector.
