He wants to care for you today

COME AWAY AND DON’T DELAY
The Lord has been calling me away to listen and to be with him over and over again in this season and he showed me what he meant in a dream. In the dream I was at school and the next lesson was journaling (listening and being with the Lord) and I decided to skip the lesson to go and purchase something I needed to get ready for upcoming activities. Then beyond this, in the break time I kept doing this trying on and purchasing instead of stopping. As I did this activity that wasn’t as scheduled, other people began to come one after another and interrupt me and wanted to do the same as me. So I began to help them to do this and missed out on getting my intended activity accomplished.
God was saying how important it is at this time to not skip out on sitting with him and listening to him and that when we do skip it to do jobs and plan and prepare for things we are organising, the time is interrupted and not fruitful. Furthermore, we send the message to others to do these same activities and skip out on being with the Lord.
Since then he has been pressing on how listening to him while being still and being in his presence means our hearts receive care. The Lord doesn’t want to only speak to us as we go from one thing to the next, he wants to care for us. He is saying that we need to pull aside with him and receive his care.
But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves. Malachi 4:2
CLEAN HEARTS LEAD TO STEADY HANDS
The Lord said to me that clean hearts lead to steady hands. While many are feeling like everything is changing around them, that what they are working on or putting their hands to keeps changing and they don’t feel like they know what is going on, God is saying that we can be steady. A clean heart in this context, is two fold: it is cleansing from sin and wrong that we bring to him in humility and it is healing through nurture and care from the pain, grief and suffering of the times we are in.
He is calling us to come, bring our heart to him and let him clean us up by cleaning out the wound and then caring for it to heal. As we come and be with the Lord and receive our heart cleaned, we will be made steady. Our hands will be steady. What we do each day will be done in an assurance with the Lord and we will be steadfast amidst the shifting.
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23
This is a time for guarding your heart - not by shutting everyone out, but by letting the Lord in. He is our protector and so when his hands are involved, we are guarded. When our heart is guarded by the Lord’s care and cleansing, what we do will flow well. We will be steadfast in him to face the day. You will be ready to go out, equipped in his strength, and sure of his word and direction.
