He wants your heart to be full

The Lord has been pointing out that he wants your heart. He wants your whole heart. 

Your heart is a bit like a bucket. God made you with a heart that needs to be filled, like a bucket is made to be filled. If you imagine your heart like a bucket, it makes sense that it is not meant to be empty. It’s a container, it is meant to be filled up.

And the Lord says – he wants to fill your heart. There are some of you holding back your heart. You say “look at this heart, I think this heart is actually black and really bruised and it’s even shrivelled like a prune”. But he says, “I’m healer God, why would you hold back your heart from me, when I am healer God for you?”

So bring your heart, hold out your heart to me just as it is with nothing else added. Hold it out to me as the one who will fill it and who will heal it and make it like new.
