His love is wide

Sometimes it feels like Gods love is specific, in a certain place and to experience it all the stars need to be aligned in our life. Without even realising it we take on the mindset that if I go here or do this I won’t be in his love, I’ll be blocked from him and suddenly we are living in self imposed conditional love. 

God’s love is wide. It’s breadth can not be fathomed. And there is grace with it that makes is accessible from any place or position or circumstance in life. So no matter what life is looking like right now, you are not beyond his love for you. No matter what has happened to you or how you ended up where you are, his love is still alive and for you. 

For those who can’t understand or accept that God’s love is really there for you, remember that God being God is always right - and as the fully right God he says I love you and I always will.  His love is wide, much wider than you will ever need and it’s there to encompass you and nourish you and bring you to life. 

And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
