The present is preparation for your future

Be present. Be engaged. Trust Him.

God knows where you’re going and remembers who he called you. He gives us glimpses of our future to encourage us and keep our head up. He puts us on the path and we walk it and every step we take journeys us more and more into the future. But if we don’t take the steps now and we don’t watch where to step, we don’t journey into the future we long for. We miss out on the learning and the details of joy, love, character building that are all required for us to go well in our future. Each of these steps towards the future train us and equip us for what’s ahead so we thrive in our future.

If you don’t live in the present and learn you won’t move into your future. Don’t drop the ball too early because your attention is consumed with the future. Soak up every bit of goodness God has for you right now and let him prepare you for what’s ahead. Be present and trust him with your future.
