The Lord is roaring over your circumstances

Deb Peacock

As I was in worship time at church, I felt the Lord say to me,  “I am here.” He very quickly moved onto these statements, building his ferocity as he went: I am here. I am declaring. I am roaring. I am roaring over your circumstances.

The Lord is fierce and he is here in power, he is the one who has the authority and power over all things. He is to be God over our circumstances as well as over us.

The picture looked like a person standing very close to their circumstances that loomed and were large and the Lord like a lion walked in and came up wanting to stand between the person and the circumstances. It required the person to take a step back and create space for the Lion to step into place.

If your circumstances are looming and large, frightening in being out of control, take time to step back and allow the Lion, God the judge to come in and take up his rightful place. Let him in and see him roar. He is roaring over your circumstances - a lion’s roar can be heard from far far away and has a commanding presence. God is always just and right and his right and just power is coming over your circumstances. He is roaring.

Lord we need you, thank you for being fierce and for coming to be God for us, for wanting to step in for us. Lord I choose to step back, and acknowledge you God as the powerful roaring God. Come and roar Lord over my circumstances.

This is what the LORD says to me: “As a lion growls, a great lion over its prey— and though a whole band of shepherds is called together against it, it is not frightened by their shouts or disturbed by their clamor— so the LORD Almighty will come down to do battle on Mount Zion and on its heights.”
Isaiah 31:4
