For the Soul that needs care, who needs someone to want to know how you are:
Deb Peacock
Prayer doesn’t begin with us saying, “Dear God”
It begins with God saying, “How are you?”
The Lord is your father and also best friend
He lives in your home and is always there.
When you arrive home,
He is there waiting
He sees you come in,
he smiles as he says,
“How are you?”
So you sit with him still
He has all the time in the world
To listen and care
So you share with him still
He really wants to know
Not sharing to convince
Or sharing to evoke
It all comes out
Trusting in those sincere eyes
Safe lips
Concerned posture
No worry of the response
Just confidence in the outcome
You will be heard
You will be cared for
You will be loved
You will be recovered
You will be ready
For another day
We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19
