Outrageous Wisdom for Glorious Provision

Deb Peacock

The Lord has been declaring for some months he is doing a new thing - something never seen before on the earth and in his people (Isaiah 43:19). He is pouring out a new wine and it will be incredible, so wonderfully sweet as glorious provision, greater than what we have known before (Matthew 9:17). It will mean a new song, a new language, new joy, new.

He is speaking to prepare us for the new, to alert us so we can perceive it and be ready and able to embrace it and participate in the great outpouring of grace and goodness. He calls us to renewal, to be new wineskins (Matthew 9:14-17) where we have beautiful fear of the Lord and then no fear of man. And in that place of renewal we receive the wisdom (Proverbs 9:10) that seems outrageous to the world but is the key to entering in to the wonderful new that the Lord is doing on the earth.

The outrageous wisdom will be outside our box, sometimes not what we wanted to hear, not what we expected and perhaps too simple, so it requires us to be renewed and in fear of the Lord to realise, accept and run with it. We need to expect to hear the Lord say unexpected things as this is the outrageous wisdom that will lead us to his glorious provision (Matt 9:18-25).

As we revere the Lord we will not fear man or what they might say. No! We will be bold and step in faith, and there we will behold the glorious provision of the Lord. In his goodness he is calling us, he is preparing us to be renewed so we are ready to receive and enjoy the great outpouring of his glorious provision. Come let us bow, let us be renewed in his wonderful presence. Let us remember him as our Jehovah Jireh our great provider, let’s get ready to embrace his glorious provision.

Blessings
