Sow your tears
“Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.
Those who go out weeping, carrying seeds to sow,
will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.” Psalm 126:5-6
Deb Peacock
God loves you. He loves you. He cares for you, for the deeper things in you that you are not even aware of. He created you, knowing this life would be hard and you would need care. And he cares. He cares so much he is waiting for you with the seat beside him kept clear for you. It’s there so you can express what you need to in his presence and let him hold the cares, the pains, the losses, the heart aches for you.
And the tears might come and they are often meant to - he created you with them for a purpose. Don’t waste it by not using it. When they come, let them out so that the Lord beside you can take them and hold them for you. That the emotions that are bound in the tears can be released from you and put in his bottle for safe keeping, that they can be sown into your future where the grief will become songs of joy and fruitfulness.
If you have been holding back the tears, choking them back, swallowing them down God wants you to know he is there to take them for you. You weren’t meant to grieve alone in the dark or where it all stays stuck within. It isn’t meant for you to choke on the pain. Share it with the Lord, cry out to the Lord, pass out your tears. Receive his comfort. Know that joy will come in time and that through this time He is there with you and he will sit in the pain with you.
You keep track of all my sorrows.
You have collected all my tears in your bottle.
You have recorded each one in your book.
