That hard thing didn’t break you for destruction, it developed character in you that will keep you on track for the next thing.
Deb Peacock
While we go through many difficulties and face things we never wanted to and have to make difficult decisions, we can feel like we are breaking down. And that is the intention of darkness after all so it makes sense that we are discerning the intention of the hard thing around us.
But! God says he will work through all things. And he does. He is the strength required to traverse all things - because he demonstrated his strength over all and conquered it through the cross.
So you can agree with the bad intention for breaking and destroying or you can grab onto every good lesson, every provision of God’s strength, courage and faith and come through stronger, refined and matured in character. You can come through with awe and reverence for the Lord as you will see him in a new way.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:2-4
