The Returning
Deb Peacock
Where have you wandered?
Where are you lost?
Where are you disarmed?
Where are you blocked?
You can come, come back to the place where it all starts
The returning
Return to the beginning
The beginning where it was him, the Lord and you
You and him still
You and him safe
You and him free
The starting place
The starting place is where
The day begins
Real life begins
Love begins
You and him, you and him
Then when you move
You launch from here, the resting place
You work from here, the resting place
You decide from here, the resting place
And now as you go, he is there too
He is with you, coming where you are to go
But at the end of the day he calls
He calls Returning
Come back to the beginning
And start again
You and him, you and him
In the resting place
The Returning
Return - come back to the beginning
You and him, you and him
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.” John 15:9-11
