It’s the beginning of the year. In fact, it has already begun. To set up well for the road ahead we need some stock, some resources, some awareness of either where we are going or of the tool that shows us where to go. All of this is found in Jesus. He holds the map and directions and he might share the destination now...or not. He is the strength, he is the joy, he is the hope - and we need this if we are going to go this year where he calls us. Because where he calls us is beyond ourselves, beyond our natural strength and knowledge. It is into places we haven’t seen before because it is into the future. We can go alone into unknown or we can go equipped with Jesus beside us who holds and knows the future.

Take time to be with him, to reset for the new year. Listen to his suggestions for the practical steps and sustainable ways. He has ways to see you run over the finish line rather than crawl this year.

Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
